Nine Ways Attendees Can Register for Your Events

A comprehensive overview for hosts of options available to register attendees for a Crowdcast event.

There are several ways attendees can register for your Crowdcast events, depending on how you want to manage registrations. This guide provides a quick overview of each option and links to detailed instructions.

1. Share Your Event Link

The simplest way to register attendees. Share your event URL by email, social media, your website, or anywhere else you promote your event.

Best for: Most events.

2. Embed Registration on Your Website

Allow attendees to register without leaving your website by embedding your Crowdcast event.

Best for: Keeping visitors on your own site.

3. Sell Tickets

Charge for access using paid ticket types. Attendees register and purchase their ticket in one step.

Best for: Paid events, workshops, and courses.

4. Register Attendees Manually

Create registrations on behalf of attendees who can't register themselves.

Best for: Concierge registration or customer support.

5. Import Attendees with CSV

Upload a list of attendees you've collected elsewhere to register them in bulk.

Best for: Existing mailing lists or registrations collected outside Crowdcast.

6. Automate Registration with Zapier

Automatically register attendees from other apps, such as forms, CRMs, or email platforms.

Best for: Automated workflows.

7. Use Pre-filled Registration Links

Create registration links that automatically fill in attendee information.

Best for: Personalized email campaigns and reducing registration friction.

8. Offer Promo Codes

Create discount codes for paid events while still using the standard registration flow.

Best for: Early bird offers, partners, and special promotions.

9. Register Through Patreon

Automatically register patrons who are eligible for your event.

Best for: Patreon creators offering member-exclusive events.

Important Notes

  • If you collect registrations off-platform and import them into the event, the location field will remain empty. However, when attendees watch live, their location will appear on the analytics map.

  • New User Registration & Access Emails
When you register for an event, you’ll receive two separate emails:

    1. Verify Email (magic link): Confirms your email address. The link works only once and then expires.

    2. Registration Confirmation: Contains your permanent event access link (this one does not expire).

⚠️ Some attendees mistakenly use only the one-time “verify email” link and get stuck there. If the confirmation email is deleted or missed, you won’t have the lasting event link to rejoin. We’re working on improving this flow, but for now, be sure to use the confirmation email for ongoing access.
