Using Crowdcast with Patreon after October 2026?
Crowdcast’s Patreon integration is not going away. Patreon will no longer offer Crowdcast as a livestreaming option from within Patreon, as Patreon now offers its own built-in livestreaming feature. You can continue creating Patreon-exclusive events in Crowdcast and controlling access based on Patreon membership.

What can I do with the Patreon integration?
With Crowdcast, you can:
Create livestreams exclusively for your Patreon community.
Choose which Patreon members or membership tiers can access an event.
Host interactive events where patrons can join you on screen using their camera and microphone.
Go live directly from your browser for conversations, presentations, workshops, podcasts, and more.
Stream using an encoder such as OBS for concerts and higher-production events.
Multistream your event to other supported platforms.
Creating an Event and Connecting Your Patreon Account
To create a Crowdcast event that's only available to your patrons:
From your Crowdcast dashboard, click New Event.
Schedule your livestream and customize your event settings.
Scroll down to Access and select Patreon.
If you have not already, click Connect Patreon.
You'll be prompted to log in to Patreon in a new tab. Once logged in, click Allow to connect your account.
You'll be redirected back to your Crowdcast event settings, where you can choose which Patreon members can access your event.
You can select:
All patrons (including free) – Any free or paying Patreon member.
All paying patrons – Paying members who have selected a Patreon tier.
Specific Patreon tiers – Restrict access to selected membership tiers.
Access based on payment amount
If a Patreon member's total payment meets or exceeds the base tier amount, they can be granted access to the event even if they aren't assigned to that specific tier.
Once you've selected your access settings, click Create event or Save changes.
That's it! Your Patreon account is connected and your patron-only Crowdcast event is ready. 🚀
How to Invite Your Patrons
Once your event has been created, you can share the Crowdcast event URL with your Patreon community.
Copy the link from your browser's address bar or use the Share option within your Crowdcast event.
Next, head over to Patreon and create a Patreon post and add your Crowdcast link — don't choose Livestream. Add some details about your upcoming event and let your patrons know which membership levels have access.
Your patrons can click the Crowdcast link and sign in with Patreon to confirm their eligibility.
If their Patreon membership gives them access, they'll be able to register for the event. If their current membership doesn't qualify, they'll be directed to your Patreon membership page where they can choose an eligible membership level.
You can share your Crowdcast link elsewhere too
You can also share your Crowdcast event URL through your newsletter, website, social media, or anywhere else you communicate with your community.
Because you've restricted access through Crowdcast's Patreon integration, anyone following the link will still need to have an eligible Patreon membership to register.
Already Using the Patreon Integration?
You don't need to reconnect Patreon or change your existing Crowdcast setup because of Patreon's October 2026 livestreaming changes.
Continue creating Patreon events from your Crowdcast dashboard as usual.

Important Notes

If you'd like to give specific non-patrons access to an event, you can register them directly using Register emails from the event's Options menu. Manually registering someone this way allows them to bypass the Patreon access requirement.
