Accessing Account Settings 🚪
To access your account settings:
Log in to your Crowdcast account.
Click on your profile icon located in the upper-right corner.
Select "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu.
Account - Managing Personal Information 📝
Change Your Email or Password
Go to the "Account Settings" page.
Locate the "Email” and “Change Password" sections.
To change your email:
Where your existing email is - type your new email address.
Confirm your new email by clicking ‘save’. Your new email cannot be linked to an existing crowdcast account.
Enter your password to confirm the email update.
To change your password:
Click "Change Password".
Enter your current password, then your new password (twice).
Confirm the change.
How to Change Your Email Without a Password
If you don’t remember your password and need to change your email, follow these steps:
Sign out of Crowdcast.
Go to the sign-in page and enter your current email and the arrow to continue.
Select 'reset password' and then click 'yes' to 'email an update password link'.
Click the link in your email to reset your password.
Once logged in, click on your profile icon located in the upper-right corner.
Select "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu and follow the steps above.
Updating Preferences
You can select the box to opt out of location tracking for the events you are joining.
Patreon Integration (For Attendees)
Go to the "Account Settings" page.
Click "Connect Patreon".
Follow the instructions to link your Patreon account.
Notifications & Reminders - As a Channel Host and Attendee 🔔
Go to "Account Settings".
Click on "Notifications"
Toggle on or off the following options:
As an Attendee - Weekly events digest
As a Channel Host - Daily event activity summary
Follow or Unfollow Channels 📺
Go to the "Account Settings" page.
Click on “Channels”.
Click on "Unfollow" next to the channels you no longer wish to follow.
Troubleshooting 🛠️
If you encounter any issues updating your password, ensure your current password is entered correctly. You can alternatively reset your password by selecting ‘reset password’ when you are trying to sign in to your Crowdcast account.
