Canceling or Pausing Your Plan For Hosts

Learn what happens when you cancel or pause your Crowdcast plan, and how to choose the right option for you.

If you no longer need your current Crowdcast plan, you can either cancel your subscription or pause your plan. Here’s what happens with each option and how to choose the right one for you.

Canceling Your Plan

When you cancel your subscription, your paid plan will remain active until the end of your current billing period. You’ll continue to have access to your plan and its features until then.

To cancel:

  1. Go to your Dashboard.

  2. Open Settings and navigate to your billing portal.

  3. Select the option to cancel your plan.

  4. Follow the prompts to confirm your cancellation.

Your cancellation will be scheduled for the end of your current billing period.

After your paid plan ends, your channel and event data will be retained for 30 days. After that period, your channel and events are scheduled for deletion.

If you think you may want to return to Crowdcast, consider pausing your plan instead.

Pausing Your Plan

Pause is designed for hosts who aren't planning to run live events for a while but want to keep their Crowdcast content and audience intact.

The Pause plan is $10/month and allows you to retain your channel, events, registrations, and other data while you're away.

While paused, you can:

  • Keep your existing events and replays available

  • Continue monetizing your existing replays

  • Collect registrations and email addresses

  • Preserve your channel and event data

  • Upgrade back to a paid hosting plan when you're ready to run live events again

You cannot host new live events while your plan is paused.

A 5% Crowdcast transaction fee applies to purchases made while you're on the Pause plan, in addition to applicable payment-processing fees.

Note: Pause availability may depend on your current billing plan. Check the options shown in your billing portal when making changes to your subscription.

Cancel or Pause?

Cancel your plan if:

  • You don't expect to use Crowdcast again

  • You don't need to retain your channel, events, or registrations

  • You're comfortable with your data being scheduled for deletion after the retention period

Pause your plan if:

  • You're taking a temporary break from hosting

  • You want to keep your existing events and replays

  • You want to continue collecting registrations or earning revenue from replays

  • You expect to host live events again in the future

Reactivating a Paused Plan

When you're ready to start hosting live events again, you can return to your billing portal and upgrade from Pause to one of Crowdcast's paid hosting plans.

Your new plan will take effect when you upgrade, allowing you to start creating and hosting live events again.

Permanently Deleting Your Account

Canceling your subscription is different from permanently deleting your Crowdcast account.

If you'd like your account and associated data permanently deleted, contact the Crowdcast Support team for assistance.

Before requesting deletion, make sure you've downloaded anything you want to keep. Permanent account deletion cannot be undone.
