Leveraging the People Tab for Engagement

Identifying Key Attendees

The People Tab provides a real-time view of audience members. Use this to:

  • Spot VIPs, industry leaders, or repeat attendees.

  • Identify engaged participants based on their activity.

Engaging Special Guests & VIPs

To maximize engagement, highlight notable attendees by:

1. Giving Them a Heads-Up

  • Use the chat feature to send a message. Example:
"Hi [Name], great to see you here! We'd love to spotlight your work—would you be open to a quick on-stage moment?"

  • Ensure they’re comfortable before sending an invite.

2. Inviting to the Stage

  • Use the Invite to Stage option to bring them up.

  • Facilitate a quick, engaging conversation about their work.

  • Keep it brief, relevant, and value-driven for the audience.

3. Capturing and Sharing the Moment

  • Utilize the Clips feature to capture highlights.

  • Share clips on social media with tags and key takeaways.

  • Encourage ongoing discussions in the event chat or comments.

Best Practices

Be selective—not all VIPs want to speak live.
Time it well—integrate at a natural moment in the session.
Follow up—share the clip and thank the guest post-event.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

For Attendees:

  • Can’t see the People Tab? If you do not see the icon for the People Tab the host has likely hidden the audience for this event.

For Hosts:

  • Can't Unregister a participant? Only those with a Host, Co-host or Moderator role can Unregister Attendees

  • People Tab not visible? Check the Host Controls under the People Tab to ensure Hide Audience is toggled off.
