Hosts can disable or re-enable chat for any session at any time—before, during, or after the event.
Open the Chat panel within the session.
Hover over the chat panel and click the Settings icon in the top-right corner of the chat panel.
Select Disable Chat.
When chat is disabled, attendees can no longer send messages. You can re-enable chat at any time by returning to the same menu and selecting Enable Chat.
Note: Disabling chat prevents new messages from being posted but does not remove existing chat messages.
Troubleshooting Chat Settings
If you're unable to enable or disable chat:
Refresh the page and try again.
Use a supported browser, preferably the latest version of Google Chrome.
Open the event in an incognito/private browsing window to rule out caching issues.
Temporarily disable browser extensions, especially ad blockers and privacy tools.
If you're connected to a corporate or school network, try switching to a personal network to eliminate potential network restrictions.
