Hosts can disable or re-enable chat for any session at any time - before, during, or after the event.
Open the Chat panel within the session.
Hover over the chat panel and click the Settings icon in the top-right corner of the chat panel.
Select Disable Chat.
When chat is disabled, attendees can no longer send messages. You can re-enable chat at any time by returning to the same menu and selecting Enable Chat.
Note:
Disabling chat prevents new messages from being posted but does not remove existing chat messages.
Disabling chat is session-specific, so you can turn it off for some sessions while leaving it enabled for others.
Troubleshooting Chat Settings
If you're unable to enable or disable chat:
Refresh the page and try again.
Use a supported browser, preferably the latest version of Google Chrome.
Open the event in an incognito/private browsing window to rule out caching issues.
Temporarily disable browser extensions, especially ad blockers and privacy tools.
If you're connected to a corporate or school network, try switching to a personal network to eliminate potential network restrictions.
