Understanding Your Event Analytics

Here's a breakdown of what analytics are provided and how to view and download them.

Updated over a week ago

Crowdcast's analytics give powerful insights into your audience and can help you optimize your marketing strategy. There is a simple overview available on your Analytics Dashboard, and detailed analytics are available as a CSV download. These metrics help you track audience growth, assess engagement, and refine your event setup and promotion strategies.

Key Insights Available in Crowdcast Analytics

Analytics allow you to capture essential data and answer questions such as:

  • Traffic Sources: Where are people finding my event?

  • Conversion Rates: What percentage of visitors register for my event?

  • Attendance Metrics: How many registered attendees join live?

  • Geographic Distribution: Where are my attendees located?

  • Engagement Insights: Who are the most engaged attendees?

  • Event Highlights: What were the most engaging moments?

  • Replay Views: How many people watched the replay?

Analytics Dashboard Overveiw

Your Analytics Dashboard features high-level graphs and data to help you visualize audience behavior and engagement trends. Some key metrics not shown in the graphics below include:

  • Top Contributors in Chat

  • Top Contributors in Q&A

Multi-Session Event Data

For multi-session events, additional session-specific data is available, including:

  • The number of chat messages submitted per session

  • Live viewer data per session

  • Chat engagement trends

Exporting Specific Attendee and Custom Data

For a deeper dive into audience insights, Crowdcast hosts can export a CSV event data file. This file provides more granular attendee details, including:

  • Attendee Information: Names, emails, and usernames

  • Registration Details: Time and date of registration

  • Custom Registration Answers (Pro and Business plans only)

  • Poll Responses

  • Attendee Locations

  • Coupon Usage Data

  • Viewing Behavior:

    • Whether an attendee watched live (views are not counted as unique views; multiple sessions by the same attendee count as one view)

    • Whether an attendee watched the replay

  • Multi-Session Insights: Poll responses and live attendance per session

The CSV file can be downloaded from within your event, your Channel, or your My Events dashboard.

What are the four ways to view my analytics?

There are four areas where you’ll find the option to view your analytics data:

How to View Your Analytics Dashboard

  1. Log in to your Crowdcast account.

  2. Select Analytics from the menu on the left.

  3. You will be taken to the Analytics Page, where you can view a high-level overview of your event.

  4. Select the event you'd like to analyze from your event listings on the right.

Viewing Analytics from Your Channel

  1. Navigate to your Channel page.

  2. Select the event you want to analyze.

  3. Click on Analytics to access event insights.

  4. If needed, download the CSV file for detailed attendee data.

Viewing Analytics from an Event Page

  1. Open the Options menu in the top right corner of your event page.

  2. Select View Analytics to open the Analytics Dashboard.

  3. If you only need attendee-specific data, you can download the CSV file directly within the event.

Viewing Analytics from Your My Events Dashboard

  1. Open the Actions menu next to an event.

  2. Select Analytics to view event insights.

  3. Select Download CSV to save detailed attendee data to your computer.

By leveraging Crowdcast’s analytics tools, you can gain valuable insights into your audience, refine your event strategies, and enhance engagement for future events.

Important Notes

  • Your Analytics Dashboard and CSV export become available as soon as you create an event and remain accessible unless you cancel your plan.

  • Views are not counted as unique views. This means that if the same person views the event multiple times, it will still count as one view for that individual.
