Event-specific emails are controlled within the Notifications section of the Create Event form. There's a toggle here that allows you to receive an email whenever an attendee registers for your event.
If toggled on, an email notification will be sent to the channel owner as well as any co-hosts. This includes both channel-level hosts and event-level co-hosts within this particular event. If you turn this off, it will turn off those notifications for all recipients.
We have plans to allow for increased notification customization. Keep an eye out on our changelog.
