Q: I want to host events on Crowdcast. How do I know which plan I need?

Plans are priced and structured based on:

  1. The number of hours you will be streaming per month

  2. The number of live attendees joining each session

  3. Features and data access

Q: What is a live attendee?

A live attendee is someone who joins a session during the live broadcast. An unlimited number of people can register for your Crowdcast event, but you'll only be charged for the folks who show up live.

Q: What if more people show up live than my plan accounts for?

If more live attendees show up than your plan includes, you'll be charged 15¢ per extra live attendee, per session. For example: You're on the Pro plan, which includes up to 250 live attendees per session. But 255 people show up live for one of your sessions. So, at 15¢ per extra live attendee, you'll be charged 75¢ for those 5 additional people.

You can also limit the number of people who can register for your event. Simply go to the Advanced tab in your Event Settings to limit the number of seats.

Q: Can I sign up for a Crowdcast plan for just one month?

If you're just looking to host a one-off event and only need Crowdcast for one month, just sign up for a monthly plan and cancel before the next billing cycle.

If you need to use Crowdcast only occasionally, we suggest signing up for the monthly plan and downgrading to the Pause plan until your next event. The Pause plan gives you access to all your events and data for $10/month. You can create and edit events and accept registrations on this plan, but you won't be able to go live while on Pause.

Q: How do billing cycles work?

Monthly Subscriptions
If you sign up on the 3rd of a given month, your billing date will be the 3rd of every month.

Yearly Subscriptions
If you sign up August 2nd this year, your next billing date will be August 2nd next year.

Q: Can I Rollover My Unused Hours From This Month's Billing Cycle to the Next?

Unused hours do not carryover to your next month's cycle. To see how many hours you have used for the month you can head over to your settings and scroll down until you get to the usage section.

Q: Can I get pricing for a multi-session event like a virtual conference or summit?

The live attendee count is based on each session. Let's say you plan to host a virtual summit with 3 sessions with each lasting 1 hour and you're on the business plan which includes 1,000 live attendees. In Session 1, 800 attendees join live, Session 2 has 1,100 live attendees, and Session 3 has 500 live attendees. Only Session 2 exceeded 1,000 live attendees, so you'd be charged an overage fee of $15 (15¢ X 100 live attendees).

Q: Are there any fees added to the monthly/annual plan pricing?

If you're charging tickets for your events, you'll need to pay transaction fees. Otherwise, this monthly and annual plan pricing is all-inclusive, as long as each session stays within the "live attendee" limit (see above).

Q: Will I be charged if I stream for more hours than my plan includes?

You won't be charged extra, nor will your event be cut short. But if you stream longer than your monthly hours, you won't be able to go live again that month.

Q: Do you offer discounts?

Yes, we do have a nonprofit discount.

Non profits will receive a 20% discount on any plan upon showing proof or verification of a 501c3 status.

First sign up for the free trial with the email you'd like your non-profit account to be under.

Once you've signed up for an account send us an email at [email protected] with a PDF of the verification and we will apply the discount to your account.

Q: What if I plan to stream for more than 40 hours in one month?
