Crowdcast RTMP Studio enables you to use professional live streaming software with Crowdcast. This works by sending video to Crowdcast via a standard method known as RTMP (Real-Time Messaging Protocol). Therefore if your software or hardware can send a RTMP output, then you can connect it to a Crowdcast event.
With RTMP Studio there is a video delay of 20-40 seconds similar to Facebook live and Youtube live and the video streams and records in HD to all devices.
We've created extra documentation for some popular software below. If you're using one of the tools below click on it to get specific instructions.

Encoding software settings for best viewing experience
By default RTMP Studio will deliver the video quality at the quality received from your encoder app or gear. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend the following encoding software settings for the best viewing experience:
Resolution: 1280x720 (720p)
Video bitrate: 2000kbps
Audio bitrate: 64kbps
Frame rate (FPS): 30
Keyframe intervals: 2 seconds
If you want to stream at 1080p we recommend checking the 'transcode stream' box in Crowdcast (available on the Business plan) to reduce buffering for attendees with slower connections.
If you don't see an app that you use listed and need help, shoot us a message and we'll help you set things up :)
